Manufacturing Test Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Test Software Engineer to join our team and help develop reliable, scalable, and high‑quality manufacturing test solutions for HP products. The role works with product development, factory, quality, and external partners to design, implement, validate, and improve test software used in manufacturing, supporting new product introduction and sustaining programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support manufacturing test solutions with product development and production teams to ensure product quality, performance, and manufacturability.
• Design, implement, and validate test software for new and existing products across mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, and system‑level requirements.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to support project execution, production readiness, and issue resolution.
• Support the creation, validation, and delivery of reliable, cost‑effective, and high‑quality manufacturing test packages.
• Represent the manufacturing test team in project discussions, technical reviews, and issue‑resolution forums.
• Provide training, documentation, and technical support to users within and outside HP.
• Improve test software robustness and support factory and quality teams in troubleshooting production issues.
• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and recommend improvements to product design, test coverage, and manufacturing quality.
• Optimize test solutions to improve throughput, reduce test cycle time, and enhance factory productivity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong programming fundamentals and interest in test automation, embedded systems, image processing, or AI/ML applications.
• Ability to understand software, hardware, and system‑level requirements and translate them into practical test solutions.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Programming languages such as Python, SQL, VB, C# or equivalent.
• Familiarity with data analysis, software testing methodology, test plan execution, debugging, test scripts, and automation tools.
• Experience or strong interest in software development, test automation, embedded systems, firmware, image processing, AI/ML, and autonomous or agentic solutions.
• Interest or exposure to Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts.
