Material Planner

About the role

The Material Planner will ensure a continuous supply of raw materials, consumables, and components for Thales' Card and Module Assembly production in Singapore. You will work closely with purchasing, production, and cross‑functional teams to keep inventory balanced and support new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan inventory levels and trigger timely replenishment to avoid production interruptions.
• Generate purchase requisitions based on demand forecasts, historical consumption, lead times and replenishment rules.
• Monitor just‑in‑time items, validate material availability for new orders, and manage demand fluctuations.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing team to expedite or defer deliveries, ensuring material continuity.
• Track supplier deliveries, follow up on on‑time performance, and coordinate new item creation and price maintenance.
• Identify slow‑moving or obsolete stock and implement mitigation actions.
• Support material substitution, phase‑in/phase‑out activities, and migration planning for new products.
• Participate in projects aimed at inventory optimisation, lead‑time reduction and cost savings.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory planning, material management or supply‑chain roles.
