Materials Project Manager – Engineering & Sourcing

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Materials Project Manager (B3) to lead engineering, materials and manufacturing forecasting, supplier coordination and product development activities for its semiconductor and display equipment business in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials and manufacturing requirements to suppliers, and perform make‑versus‑buy analysis.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimise inventory exposure and manage material change control.
• Lead the Materials Core Team, driving product development deliverables across buyers, planners and production control.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, delivery terms and contracts, and conduct supplier risk assessments.
• Monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost) and resolve quality issues in partnership with engineering and quality teams.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in materials engineering, sourcing and supply‑chain processes.
• Strong understanding of best practices and how materials functions integrate with engineering, quality and procurement.
• Ability to lead small projects, solve complex problems and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Effective communication skills to convey technical information and build consensus.
