Materials Project Manager

About the role

The Materials Project Manager supports the creation, release, and update of project material strategies for semiconductor and display equipment. Working under direct supervision, the role forecasts engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements and communicates them to suppliers. The position also participates in commercialization and material change control processes.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis and provide input to outsourcing decisions.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
• Participate in Materials Core Team activities and product development deliverables.
• Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations and conduct supplier risk assessments.
• Monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost) and generate key process indicators (KPIs).
• Support commercialization (transition) material plans and change control processes.

Required profile

• Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in materials and engineering disciplines.
• Understands key business drivers and applies them to project work.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members and solves straightforward problems using technical judgment.

Required skills

• Experience with MRP systems.
• Conducting make‑versus‑buy and cost‑analysis studies.
• Supplier risk assessment and performance monitoring.
• Generating and publishing KPI reports.
