Materials Project Manager

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Materials Project Manager to coordinate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements, supporting the development and commercialization of advanced semiconductor and display technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers, and perform make‑versus‑buy analysis.
• Coordinate demand signals through MRP, participate in Materials Core Team, and support creation and updates of project material strategies.
• Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations, conduct supplier risk assessments, and monitor supplier performance.
• Generate and publish Key Process Indicators (KPI) and track total landed cost targets.

Required profile

• Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in materials engineering and broadens capabilities.
• Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish work.

Required skills

• Forecasting of engineering and material requirements.
• Supplier risk assessment and performance monitoring.
