Materials Project Manager – NPT (B4)

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing, is seeking a Materials Project Manager – NPT (B4). The role will lead the Materials Core Team, forecast material requirements, and drive supplier performance for product development.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate product development deliverables through matrix management of buyers, planners, and production control.
• Assist in supplier price and delivery negotiations and perform make‑versus‑buy analysis.
• Manage the materials change control process, meet cost objectives and resolve quality issues.
• Generate and publish key process indicators and track total landed‑cost targets.

Required profile

• Demonstrates depth or breadth of expertise in materials engineering or a related discipline.
• Interprets business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
• Leads functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity.
• Solves complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought and identifies innovative solutions.
