M&E Coordinator – Construction Projects

About the role

The M&E Coordinator will support the Project Manager in delivering construction projects, ensuring mechanical and electrical works meet quality, safety and regulatory standards. This role involves close coordination with internal teams, subcontractors and consultants on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with project planning, technical matters, authority submissions and site coordination.
• Supervise and monitor projects to ensure compliance with operating procedures, quality standards, contractual specifications and safety regulations.
• Oversee M&E works, conduct site inspections, monitor progress and ensure adherence to company and authority requirements.
• Review M&E drawings, material submissions and shop drawings, aligning them with specifications and preparing combined services drawings.
• Manage daily site activities, progress schedules and develop detailed M&E programmes.
• Coordinate with internal departments, subcontractors, consultants and end‑users to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth project execution.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a Specialist Diploma in M&E Coordination.
• Minimum of 2 years’ site experience with a local construction firm.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently under tight schedules.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
