M&E Coordinator

About the role

The M&E Coordinator will oversee all mechanical and electrical aspects of construction and facilities projects, ensuring timely, budget‑conscious delivery while meeting technical standards and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate M&E services on construction or refurbishment projects.
• Review and interpret design drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Liaise with design consultants, contractors and stakeholders to integrate M&E requirements.
• Monitor progress of installations and ensure timely completion.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and best practices for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, lighting and power.
• Identify issues, recommend solutions, and oversee testing, commissioning and handover.
• Manage inspections, testing and documentation for local and international code compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test reports and approvals.
• Serve as primary contact for M&E queries, prepare progress reports and attend site meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience coordinating M&E for construction or facilities projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire‑protection systems.
• Familiarity with local and international M&E codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with testing, commissioning and quality‑control processes.
• Excellent communication, reporting and problem‑solving abilities.
