M&E Design Coordinator – Senior Executive

About the role

Our client, a leading civil and building contractor in Singapore, is seeking an experienced M&E Design Coordinator to oversee mechanical and electrical design coordination and provide construction support for LTA and building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor consultants’ M&E design progress against submission schedules and detailed design timelines.
• Review design drawings, identify missing information, design clashes, and constructability issues.
• Oversee and manage M&E design coordination, liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate drawing schedules and ensure timely release of construction drawings across all disciplines.
• Collaborate with BIM modelers and drafters to produce accurate shop drawings.
• Identify key technical sections for construction and proactively resolve technical challenges.
• Support the construction team and subcontractors with document submissions for approvals, including material submissions, specifications, method statements, and specialist shop drawings.
• Address and resolve technical issues raised on site, ensuring proper documentation and communication.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as an M&E Coordinator on building and infrastructure projects, preferably with LTA exposure.
• Proven experience in a main contractor environment.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings independently.
