Mechanical Engineer – Design & Project Support

About the role

Simplex Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Singapore office. The role focuses on delivering mechanical design solutions for new products while supporting cross‑disciplinary project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to other discipline design groups on assigned projects.
• Plan, conceptualise and create mechanical designs for new products.
• Manage mechanical job execution and monitor progress on‑site.
• Communicate with client representatives, engineers and support offices.
• Support inspection activities and develop testing processes.
• Perform testing, validation and engineering calculations for designs.
• Create and review technical drawings, plans and specifications using CAD software.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors and contractors.

Required profile

• Fresh graduates are welcomed; a solid grasp of engineering concepts is essential.
• Experience designing mechanical systems and products.
• Effective communication skills and a self‑motivated, team‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and adapt to extended hours when required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
