Mechanical Engineer – Facilities (Clean Room & HVAC)

About the role

SSMC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its Facilities Mechanical Department. The role supports clean‑room, chiller, HVAC and other utility systems that keep the semiconductor fab running at optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide facilities support for clean rooms, chillers, HVAC, environmental protection, process utilities and building services.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programmes to ensure system reliability.
• Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot equipment to minimise downtime.
• Monitor system performance, capacity usage and utility consumption; produce regular reports.
• Lead improvement projects and implement operating procedures for optimal system operation.
• Manage spare parts and consumables inventory and maintain accurate documentation and plant histories.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical or petro‑chemical environments (fresh graduates are welcome).
• Strong problem‑solving ability and a high sense of responsibility.
