About the role
The Mechanical Turnaround Planner is responsible for creating safe, detailed plans for preventive and corrective maintenance turnarounds in refinery and petrochemical environments. The role ensures that work packages are complete, resources are optimised, and handovers to field execution are seamless.
Key responsibilities
- Develop detailed planning steps that incorporate safety and site requirements for both preventive and corrective maintenance turnarounds (TAs).
- Prepare complete TA work packages ready for execution, including material and spare‑part lists, inventory purchase requests, and material requisitions.
- Coordinate with PMC, Asset Integrity & Reliability, Warehouse, Procurement, contractors and vendors to align on work package preparation and execution windows.
- Engage field execution teams during planning to ensure efficient handover and execution.
- Create initial invoice proposals in Bio+ before execution and finalize invoicing after job completion.
- Maintain and improve task lists in the task library, supporting continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the TA scheduler to optimise resources while safeguarding operations and safety.
- Prepare KPI reports for turnaround performance and act as backup for the scheduler when needed.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in refinery/petrochemical environments, including at least 3 years in a similar turnaround planning role.
- Proven experience in turnaround planning, maintenance work control, and cost estimation.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and business sense.
