Minimart Outlet Manager

About the role

The Minimart Outlet Manager internship will give you hands‑on experience running a busy convenience‑store outlet in Singapore. You will support daily operations, staff coordination and inventory management while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage opening and closing procedures and oversee POS transactions, cash handling and daily sales reconciliation.
• Coordinate staffing, shift schedules and daily work assignments to keep the outlet fully covered.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock counts, handle receiving, rotation and expiry checks, and investigate discrepancies.
• Control wastage, shrinkage and damaged or expired products, and ensure accurate merchandising and promotional displays.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Track outlet performance metrics such as sales, transactions and inventory movement, and suggest operational improvements.
• Prepare basic outlet reports and support manpower and stock planning during peak periods.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Retail Management, Business, Operations or a related field (preferred).
• Prior experience in retail, minimart, supermarket or convenience‑store environments is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to supervise and coordinate a team.
