NAND Product Development Engineer

About the role

Micron is looking for a NAND Product Development Engineer to drive end-to-end product development of next-generation NAND technologies, from silicon to system. The role leads cross-functional teams, defines and executes product development strategies with data-driven and AI-enabled insights, and acts as the key interface with partners across business units, quality, fabrication, test and supply chain. It is described as a highly visible, high-impact leadership role.

Key responsibilities

• Own NAND development schedules and execution, lead multi-functional teams and direct deliverables and sample delivery schedules.
• Drive system-level integration of NAND with Technology Development and Design Engineering for SSD and end-customer applications.
• Provide cross-functional leadership across Product Engineering, Business Units, Supply Chain, Fab, Assembly and Test, and communicate priorities to keep schedules on track.
• Represent the team in product development reviews, lead product engineering meetings and support NAND BIC execution.
• Build the NAND engineering development schedule from pre-silicon planning through qualification, including Build-at-Risk and parallel development.
• Lead complex problem solving across NAND-system interactions and guide teams through ambiguity.
• Use AI for tool creation, automation and problem solving to accelerate product development.

Required profile

• PhD, or Master's degree with at least 3 years, or Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in electrical/electronic or computer engineering or a related discipline.
• Good knowledge of NAND device design and/or system firmware design.
• Prior experience leading product development projects is an added advantage.
• Effective verbal and written communication, complex problem solving and a growth mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with AI platforms such as Claude or Copilot, or a strong interest in using emerging technologies to boost engineering productivity.
• Ability to integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work in line with organizational standards and legal requirements.
