News Editorial Intern, CNBC International

About the role

Versant, which owns CNBC International, is looking for a News Editorial Intern in Singapore for January to June 2027. The intern supports the show production teams by helping cut videos, build graphics and learn to produce basic show segments and/or guest bookings. The role suits university undergraduates interested in TV news production and journalism, with exposure to business, economics and financial markets.

Key responsibilities

• Work with video editors to cut videos to match news scripts
• Write sample scripts for TV news
• Transcribe live interviews
• Build graphics using CNBC's in-house applications and liaise with the Graphics team
• Prepare video clips, lower-thirds, soundbites and other elements for show segments
• Manage the teleprompter for on-air talent during live programming
• Take part in creating show segments by sharing, discussing and pitching ideas

Required profile

• University student currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, economics, mass communication and/or media production
• Legal right to work in Singapore; only eligible candidates will be considered
• Full-time availability from January to June 2027
• Keen interest in business news, economics, financial markets and current affairs
• Able to work early mornings and in a fast-paced, high-tension live news environment
