Night Shift Build Operations Manager

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering, is seeking a Night Shift Build Operations Manager to lead its production team in Singapore. The role focuses on supervising night‑shift manufacturing activities, ensuring safety, quality, and continuous improvement while supporting the company’s semiconductor and advanced display technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, motivate and develop a team of production employees, assigning work and setting priorities.
• Communicate daily build and test issues across all manufacturing levels and prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and material requirements.
• Lead operational meetings, establish process consistency, and track performance metrics to improve cycle‑time.
• Ensure timely response to operational issues affecting customer satisfaction and drive corrective actions.
• Promote a safe work environment, enforce EHS training, and monitor compliance with safety policies.
• Drive Lean, safety and quality initiatives, identify process improvements, and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, lift, bend and use hand/power tools; clean‑room attire may be required.
• Commitment to environmental, health and safety standards and ability to train and document compliance for all staff.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage performance, hiring, discipline and career development.
