Night Shift Build Operations Manager

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions, is seeking a Night Shift Build Operations Manager for its Singapore facility. You will lead production teams that assemble, test, and ship capital equipment and systems for the semiconductor and display industries. This full‑time, on‑site role requires overseeing night‑shift operations to meet cycle‑time and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise employees across assembly, inspection, test and final test functions for capital equipment manufacturing.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and material availability.
• Lead operational meetings, milestone reviews and performance‑metric tracking.
• Ensure timely response to operational issues affecting customer satisfaction and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee safety programs, EHS training and compliance, and prevent employee accidents.

Required profile

• Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to set priorities, coach staff and manage performance.
• Strong understanding of Lean, safety and quality principles and ability to implement process improvements.
• Experience in capacity planning, data‑driven decision making and real‑time status reporting.
• Ability to work in a clean‑room environment and adhere to strict PPE requirements.
