Nursing Aide – Full‑Time Support Role

About the role

The Singapore Cheshire Home is seeking a dedicated Nursing Aide to join its care team on a full‑time basis. You will support residents with daily clinical and personal care tasks while working closely with nursing officers and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform shift, night and on‑call duties as required.
• Assist in wound management, track progress and report to Nursing Officers.
• Prepare and administer oral medication, topical applications and sub‑cutaneous injections.
• Support nursing rounds by preparing documentation for doctors, dietitians and speech therapists.
• Arrange resident medical appointments, coordinate transport and accompany residents.
• Maintain dressing trolleys, ensure adequate medical supplies and keep treatment rooms tidy.
• Feed residents with nasogastric or PEG tubes and perform bladder washouts for catheterised patients.
• Supervise care staff with toileting, bathing and transfers.
• Handle emergencies, respond to calls and manage COVID‑19 clearance testing.
• Document care activities promptly in the Care Management System.

Required profile

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and on‑call periods.
• Ability to follow detailed clinical instructions and maintain accurate records.
• Good communication skills to interact with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Physical stamina for assisting with transfers and bedside care.
