On‑Desk Engineer

About the role

Virtu Financial is seeking an experienced On‑Desk Engineer to join its Singapore office. You will be responsible for maintaining the Windows desktop environment and supporting the local data centre, ensuring high availability and security for end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and maintain Windows 7/10 desktops and related hardware.
• Provide first‑line local and second‑line regional desktop support, including incident identification, resolution, and escalation.
• Apply security patches, perform health‑check monitoring, and enforce global desktop standards.
• Manage local office and Singapore data‑centre operations: deliveries, cable patching, server installations, and inventory control.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of IT support and data‑centre experience in the APAC region.
• Customer‑focused attitude with strong problem‑resolution skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure, including long hours during critical incidents.
• Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
