About the role
The Operating Theatre Technician/Associate supports the surgical team by preparing and maintaining the operating theatre. The role involves arranging equipment, performing checks, and ensuring a safe environment for procedures. The position works on a rotating shift pattern, including weekends and public holidays.
Key responsibilities
- Arrange equipment in the operating room to ensure smooth running of an operation.
- Perform equipment checks and positioning in the Operating Theatres.
- Set up the Operating Theatres for the surgical team prior to an operation.
- Assist the surgical team during operation to transfer and position patients.
- General housekeeping of the theatre rooms before and after the operation.
- Maintain equipment in the Operating Theatres.
Required profile
- Minimum GCE N Level or equivalent.
- ITE Certificate in Healthcare Services or WSQ Certificate in Healthcare Support (advantageous).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work three rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
