Operation Executive (Logistics)

About the role

The Operation Executive will coordinate daily export operations, ensuring shipments are booked, tracked, and delivered efficiently. This junior‑level position supports both internal teams and external partners to maintain high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, split and plan day‑to‑day work of Export Operations Specialists.
• Supervise transactional operations in the forwarding area, including capacity booking, pickup arrangement and shipment follow‑up.
• Arrange pickups, finalise bookings and optimise booking plans.
• Implement SOPs for small parcel (R1) and cargo (R2) handling.
• Ensure export documents comply with regulations and internal procedures.
• Monitor shipment status, identify incidents and drive resolution.
• Support Customer Service in incident and exception management.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and monitor their performance.
• Identify training needs and develop a skilled functional department.
• Collaborate with internal functions as a subject‑matter expert for operational queries.
• Verify implementation of customer requirements before regular service starts.
• Maintain filing and documentation according to governance regulations.
• Conduct bi‑weekly housekeeping for the warehouse.

Required profile

• Minimum O‑Level qualification; Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
• Forklift certification is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
