Operations Executive – Sea Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Executive to manage our sea freight forwarding activities. The role involves coordinating import and export shipments, handling documentation, and ensuring smooth cargo movement for our clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day sea import and export operations, including bookings, shipping instructions, bill of lading drafts, VGM and customs declarations.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers and overseas agents to ensure seamless cargo movement.
• Monitor shipment schedules, vessel cut‑off dates and ensure timely delivery of required documents.
• Prepare and verify export documents such as invoices, packing lists and certificates.
• Provide proactive updates and after‑sales service, addressing client inquiries and resolving service issues.
• Liaise with internal departments to support operational efficiency and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in freight forwarding, preferably sea import & export.
• Familiarity with import/export documentation, Incoterms and international trade practices.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure.
• Team player with a customer‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding systems (advantage).
