Operations Intern – Manufacturing & Quality

About the role

The Operations Intern will support the Senior Manager, Operations in a fast‑paced API production environment. This role provides hands‑on experience in manufacturing excellence, supply chain coordination, and quality compliance while contributing to sustainability and safety goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to reduce downtime.
• Support permits, housekeeping, and facility corrections in collaboration with engineers and maintenance teams.
• Manage material storage, logistics, and inventory levels in partnership with planners and buyers.
• Generate and review qualification, functional verification, and cleaning batch documents for equipment commissioning and product change‑over.
• Participate in technology transfers, continuous‑improvement projects, and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
• Conduct training on new SOPs, cGMP, and safety procedures for technicians.
• Support internal and external QA audits, HAZOP studies, and corrective action follow‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or a Diploma in Chemical Process Technology.
• Pharmaceutical experience preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with continuous‑improvement, Lean Six Sigma methodology and Lean tools is a plus.
• For non‑diploma holders, a minimum of three years relevant experience.
