Operations Management Manager – 12hr Dayshift

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering, is seeking an Operations Management Manager for a permanent 12‑hour dayshift in Singapore. You will lead a team responsible for production, inspection, testing and final test of capital equipment, ensuring high quality and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise employees across assembly, inspection, test and final test functions, prioritising production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency and material availability.
• Lead operational meetings, track performance metrics, and drive improvements in cycle time and other key indicators.
• Ensure compliance with customer and vendor requirements, conduct cost‑of‑quality analyses and initiate corrective actions.
• Oversee safety programs, guarantee all staff receive required Environmental, Health and Safety training, and enforce clean‑room PPE protocols.
• Develop personnel through training, performance management, hiring, reward and discipline processes.

Required profile

• Formal supervisory responsibilities with the ability to set priorities and coach employees to meet daily deadlines.
• Strong problem‑solving judgment to resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational issues.
• Effective interpersonal skills to handle sensitive information and interact with customers, vendors or suppliers.
