Operations Management Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Operations Management Manager to lead a team of production employees in Singapore. The role involves supervising, motivating, and developing staff while ensuring efficient manufacturing processes that support semiconductor and advanced display production.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, motivate, direct, develop and train production teams, assigning work and setting priorities.
• Communicate daily cross‑functional issues, prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and material requirements.
• Lead operational meetings, establish process consistency, and align tactical and strategic plans.
• Develop and track performance metrics to improve cycle‑time and capacity utilization.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety training and policies, and drive Lean, safety and quality initiatives.
• Manage employee selection, hiring, performance management, career development and disciplinary actions.
• Analyze production capacity, implement process improvements, and take corrective actions to enhance quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising manufacturing or production teams in a high‑tech environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in a clean‑room environment and use appropriate PPE.

Required skills

• Lean manufacturing methodology.
