Operations Support Intern - Motion Services

About the role

ABB is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Operations Support Intern to join its Motion Services (MOSE) team in Singapore. The internship gives hands-on exposure to production planning, demand forecasting, supply planning and operational excellence within a global industrial organisation. It is a hybrid role reporting to the Service Operations Manager, working closely with Planning & Fulfillment, Customer Service, Finance and Operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support production planning and scheduling by assisting with demand forecasting, production plans, delivery commitments, capacity planning and monitoring planning performance indicators.
• Analyse operational and planning data to support inventory management, production reporting, forecast accuracy tracking, bottleneck identification and continuous improvement.
• Assist in maintaining ERP and planning systems, manage planning parameters, review MRP-related information and ensure accurate, timely operational data.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Planning & Fulfillment, Finance, Supply Chain and Operations teams to support daily planning, resolve operational issues and improve planning effectiveness.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in supply chain, production planning, forecasting, manufacturing operations or business process improvement.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, self-motivated, detail-oriented and committed to safety, integrity and professionalism.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to interpret data and support operational decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with large datasets, reports and dashboards.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, data visualisation tools such as Power BI, automation tools or AI-assisted productivity solutions is an advantage.
