Outdoor Adventure Instructor

About the role

Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join its team of outdoor adventure educators. As an OBS Instructor you will guide youth through experiential learning programmes that build resilience, confidence and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high‑quality outdoor programmes such as the MOE‑OBS Challenge Course for Secondary 3 students.
• Facilitate experiential learning activities that promote self‑discovery and personal growth.
• Supervise participants, ensuring their safety and well‑being throughout all activities.
• Complete a 6‑month Basic Instructor Training (BIT) and apply the training in day‑to‑day operations.

Required profile

• Willingness to commit to a 3‑day, 2‑night Instructor Selection Process (ISP) scheduled for 24‑26 Jul 2026.
• Physical fitness to perform strenuous activities, carry 15‑20 kg for up to 6 hours, and work outdoors in varied conditions.
• Ability to supervise minors independently and manage risk in wilderness settings.
• No medical conditions that impede strenuous activity, colour vision, night vision, or safety supervision (e.g., cardiac, severe asthma, recent seizures, anaphylaxis).
