Part-Time Lecturer – Curating Residencies

About the role

The NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore seeks a part‑time lecturer to teach an elective course on Curating Residencies for the MA in Museum Studies and Curatorial Practices. The appointment runs from January to July 2027 and focuses on advanced critical and methodological understanding of contemporary art residencies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the “Curating Residencies” course, including lectures, readings, and assessments.
• Guide students in analysing, evaluating, and developing residency models across institutional, independent, community‑based, nomadic, research‑oriented, and transdisciplinary contexts.
• Facilitate discussions on the ethical, political, logistical, and economic dimensions of residency making.
• Mentor students on project design, research methods, and public engagement strategies.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic activities within the programme.

Required profile

• At least a Master’s degree in curatorial practice, contemporary art, museum studies or a related discipline.
• Proven teaching experience at undergraduate or master’s level.
• Strong research background in art residencies and curatorial methodologies.
