Part-Time Lecturer – Project Development & Planning (DM3010)

About the role

The School of Art, Design, and Media at Nanyang Technological University seeks a part‑time lecturer to deliver DM3010, an undergraduate studio course that prepares third‑year students for their Final Year Project. The role begins in January 2027 and involves guiding students through project planning, resource management, and proposal development.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess the DM3010 studio course, covering project conceptualisation, planning methodologies and final proposal preparation.
• Facilitate field trips, guest lectures and case‑study analyses to expose students to real‑world project development practices.
• Mentor students in selecting research methodologies, developing project strategies and producing a comprehensive final response.
• Lead constructive class discussions, critiques and presentations to foster practice‑based enquiry.

Required profile

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Fine Art, Design, Media Arts, Curatorial Practice, Design Research or a closely related discipline.
• Prior experience teaching undergraduate courses and supervising practice‑based research or thesis projects is preferred.
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and substantial professional experience in exhibition, project development or creative practice may be considered in exceptional cases.
