Patient Care Assistant (Pain Management)

About the role

SingHealth is hiring a Patient Care Assistant for its Pain Management unit. The role provides basic nursing care, housekeeping and support to doctors and nursing staff so that patients' basic needs are met in the patient areas. It also involves orienting patients and their relatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic nursing care and housekeeping, and assist doctors and nursing staff in meeting patients' basic needs
• Provide patient care activities and orientation to patients and relatives
• Follow strict infection control measures, standard precautions and good hand hygiene
• Assist and take part in designated nursing procedures and treatments, keeping patients comfortable and well
• Help keep the assigned work area clean and tidy
• Assist in transferring patients to and from consultation

Required profile

• Minimum Higher Nitec, Nitec, GCE N, O or A Level, or equivalent
• ITE Skills Certificate in Health Care (Inpatient) or WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support preferred
• Able to work three rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays, five days a week, with office hours and one Saturday per month (8am-12pm)
• Training will be provided
