Physical Security Specialist

About the role

Micron is looking for a Physical Security Specialist to support and execute physical security programs across its facilities and operations. The role acts as a subject matter expert in security operations, investigations, risk management, security technology and incident response, independently managing security initiatives and collaborating with business stakeholders to protect people, assets and intellectual property.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day physical security operations, lead incident response and conduct facility inspections and security assessments
• Lead or support investigations into theft, misconduct, policy violations, insider threats and workplace violence, including evidence collection, chain of custody and reporting
• Carry out security risk, threat and vulnerability assessments, support compliance with corporate standards and take part in audits
• Administer and optimise access control, CCTV, alarm monitoring, visitor management and intrusion detection systems, and support their deployment and upgrades
• Leverage AI tools and analytics to detect trends and anomalies, and support pilot programs for emerging security technologies
• Oversee contract security providers, liaise with law enforcement and emergency responders, and build relationships with cross-functional partners
• Support security design reviews, construction projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Risk Management, Security Studies or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in physical security, corporate security, law enforcement, military, investigations, risk management or related fields
• Experience conducting investigations, security assessments, incident management and vendor management
• Preferred: ASIS CPP, PSP, PCI or CSMP certification, and experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, technology or critical infrastructure environments
