Planner & Control Specialist – Materials Manufacturing

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Planner & Control Specialist to manage production, inventory, and material resources planning (MRP) for its semiconductor equipment manufacturing in Singapore. The role ensures timely material delivery, supports engineering projects, and drives data‑driven process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain SAP work order release schedules, perform pre‑shortage analysis, and conduct variance analysis to ensure on‑time material supply.
• Review MRP execution, reconcile supply and demand, validate master scheduling, and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
• Analyze usage data, forecast spare‑part needs, manage inventory levels, and resolve material variances.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis, drive cycle counting, and support process control initiatives.
• Perform data analysis and visualization using Tableau, Python, and SQL to turn big‑data sources into actionable insights.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in production planning, inventory control, and MRP processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in statistical and data‑mining techniques.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations teams and communicate complex information clearly.
