Planner – Service Parts & Inventory

About the role

The Planner will manage service parts, demand forecasting, inventory control and ramp site planning to support Applied Materials’ semiconductor equipment business in Singapore. This role combines analytical rigor with cross‑functional collaboration to ensure parts availability and optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Position the right level of parts in the right place to support business entitlements (Service Parts Planning).
• Review demand history and future business outlook to improve forecast accuracy (Demand Forecast).
• Actively manage inventory turns, excess and obsolescence (Inventory Control & Management).
• Prepare inventory for new fab installations and ramp schedules (Ramp Site Planning).
• Coordinate inventory preparation for Service Agreement delivery in collaboration with the Field Service Organization (Service Agreement Planning).
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for order delivery misses.
• Manage internal and external planning KPIs and reporting.
• Use ERP planning systems, inventory optimization software and data visualization tools to maintain dashboards.
• Align external business requests with internal resources to build sustainable processes.
• Resolve critical escalations under pressure and develop short‑term and long‑term improvement plans.

Required profile

• B.S. or M.S. degree; industrial engineering or supply‑chain background preferred.
• 3–8 years of experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
• Proven stakeholder management and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and drive collaboration.
• Strong data‑analysis capabilities.
