Platform Engineer (Cloud SRE Ops)

About the role

Join the Digital Resiliency Engineering team to design, build, and operate large‑scale, distributed systems that support Singapore Government services. You will focus on observability, automation, and reliability, working alongside seasoned SRE and DevOps practitioners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain Service Level Indicators (SLI), Service Level Objectives (SLO), error budgets, and post‑mortem processes.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to ensure the reliability and performance of critical government services.
• Provide operational support and engineering for large‑scale systems, driving rapid incident resolution.
• Collect and analyze metrics and logs for capacity planning, performance tuning, and fault isolation.
• Develop automation for services, infrastructure, and applications.
• Enhance reliability through proactive monitoring and continuous performance optimisation.
• Create a government‑wide SRE playbook and identify emerging technologies for innovation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams of software engineers, infrastructure engineers, and DevOps specialists.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer operating mission‑critical production systems.
• Strong background in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or SRE.
• Proven ability to design and run automated monitoring, incident detection, and run‑book processes.
