PLC Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior PLC Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain PLC‑based automation solutions for industrial equipment in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, program and troubleshoot PLC‑based industrial automation and control systems.
• Develop and maintain PLC programs for automated machinery and industrial equipment.
• Design, develop and deploy scalable software systems with AI/ML integration.
• Develop, train and implement machine learning models or rule‑based solutions.
• Analyse large datasets and translate data insights into practical software solutions.
• Participate in software architecture, technical design and technology decisions.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews and testing to ensure software quality.
• Lead and mentor a small team of software engineers.
• Develop and maintain reliable production‑grade applications and services.
• Provide technical support at customer sites and troubleshoot production issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant software engineering or industrial automation experience.
• Hands‑on experience in PLC programming, development, testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with PLC control systems, industrial automation and HMI/SCADA systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C, C++ or Java.
• Experience integrating software applications with PLC/automation systems.
• Experience with AI/ML technologies is preferred or required depending on client needs.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred.
