Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Electrochemistry & Next‑Gen Battery Materials

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to lead independent investigations into next‑generation electrochemical energy systems. The position will focus on solid‑state and high‑energy batteries, interfacial chemistry, and electro‑chemo‑mechanics within our interdisciplinary lab.

Key responsibilities

• Design, synthesize and characterize novel electrode and electrolyte materials for solid‑state batteries.
• Perform electrochemical, mechanical and advanced materials characterizations.
• Collaborate with internal and external academic and industrial partners on joint projects.
• Prepare manuscripts for high‑impact journals and present findings at international conferences.
• Contribute to grant proposals and new project development.
• Mentor and supervise PhD, Master’s and undergraduate students in the laboratory.

Required profile

• PhD (or conferring) in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of hands‑on experience in materials synthesis, electrochemical testing and advanced characterization.
• Strong record of publications in high‑impact journals.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
