Postdoctoral Research Fellowship – Ageing and Migration

About the role

The Asia Research Institute at the National University of Singapore invites a qualified researcher to join a four‑year project on ageing and migration. The postdoctoral fellow will focus on foreign‑born older adults in Singapore, examining their formal and informal support networks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative fieldwork with foreign‑born Singapore residents aged 55 and above.
• Analyse survey data and multi‑stage qualitative findings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary co‑investigators across social networks, healthcare, eldercare, and productive ageing.
• Contribute to research writing for academic journals and policy briefs.
• Present findings to both academic and non‑academic audiences.

Required profile

• PhD in Social Sciences, Anthropology, Sociology, Public Health, or related field.
• Experience in mixed‑methods research, especially qualitative approaches.
• Interest in ageing, migration, and digital inclusion topics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
