Presales Solution Engineer – Commercial

About the role

As a Presales Solution Engineer you will partner with Boomi’s field sales teams to provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. You will conduct discovery, design solution strategies across integration, data management, API management and AI, and help secure the technical win for prospective customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and consultative pre‑sales engagements with prospects.
• Design solution strategies across Boomi’s portfolio of integration, data management, API management and AI.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical presentations to both technical and business audiences.
• Support RFIs/RFPs, proof‑of‑concept activities and ensure smooth hand‑over to implementation.
• Partner with Account Executives, Solution Architects and Boomi partners to craft compelling proposals and highlight business value.
• Stay current on AI trends, competitive offerings and Boomi platform innovations.

Required profile

• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical features into business impact.
• Technical aptitude and problem‑solving mindset, preferably with exposure to integration, data management, API management and AI platforms.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills in English, comfortable engaging executives, developers and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Self‑starter who thrives in collaborative, cross‑functional teams and dynamic environments.
• Commitment to continuous learning and willingness to coach and mentor others.

Required skills

• Integration patterns, messaging queues and middleware concepts.
• APIs and API Management, including federated API management.
• Data pipeline and orchestration tools.
• Managed File Transfer (MFT) protocols and use cases.
• AI and LLM‑based applications such as prompt engineering, RAG, vector search, agent‑based automation.
• Enterprise applications: SAP, Oracle EBS, Fusion, NetSuite, MS Dynamics, ServiceNow, Salesforce, IFS.
• Scripting/programming languages: Python, JavaScript, Groovy.
