Preschool Music Teacher – Singapore

About the role

Join the MindChamps team as a Music Teacher delivering the MindChamps Music curriculum to preschool children from Playgroup to K2. You will inspire young learners through music and help create a nurturing, development‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the MindChamps Music curriculum to preschool Champs from Playgroup (PG) to Kindergarten 2 (K2).
• Conduct engaging, age‑appropriate lessons covering music literacy, singing, percussion, keyboard, recorder and violin (for upper levels).
• Plan, prepare and implement lessons in line with the centre’s curriculum, policies and educational framework.
• Observe, assess and document each child’s progress using checklists, anecdotal records, photographs and progress notes.
• Prepare lesson materials and simple music arrangements for school celebrations, performances and year‑end concerts.
• Collaborate with class teachers to integrate music with interdisciplinary subjects and participate in centre events, meetings and professional development.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties to support the centre’s operational needs.

Required profile

• Diploma, professional certification or equivalent qualification in Music (e.g., ABRSM, Trinity).
• Proficiency in at least one musical instrument; ability to play two or more (e.g., piano, violin, guitar, ukulele) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Solfege, the Suzuki Violin Method and keyboard instruction is a plus.
• Prior experience teaching music to young children, preferably in a preschool setting.
• Passion for early childhood education and the ability to inspire and engage learners through music.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and classroom‑management skills.
