Primary Science Teacher (P3–P6)

About the role

MetaQuest (MQ) is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Science Teacher to deliver engaging, experiment‑based lessons to students in Primary 3 to Primary 6. The role involves both in‑centre and online teaching, using a structured curriculum to help learners achieve breakthroughs in science understanding and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Teach 10 to 12 classes per week, including covering classes as needed.
• Deliver structured, hands‑on science lessons following the centre’s curriculum and pedagogy.
• Explain concepts clearly, guide students in applying answering techniques, and monitor understanding during lessons.
• Mark student work, track progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, focused, and positive learning environment.
• Build rapport with parents and provide termly progress updates.
• Support trial classes, centre‑level activities, and participate in team meetings and professional development.

Required profile

• Degree in Science or a related field (MOE/NIE‑trained preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of primary science teaching experience using the MOE syllabus.
• Strong subject knowledge with a clear, structured explanation style.
• Ability to engage students and manage a classroom effectively.
• Responsible, consistent, and organised in lesson preparation and marking.
• Open to feedback, continuous improvement, and adoption of the company’s teaching approach.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
