Principal Business Intelligence Analyst, Smart Manufacturing

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Principal Business Intelligence Analyst (Smart Manufacturing I4.0) to enable new frontier technology for smart manufacturing, particularly in smart die matching, speed, quality and reliability predictions. The role applies industry-leading automation, AI and machine learning methods to improve product development, business and administrative processes across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Assembly, Test, Probe, Product and Quality groups to drive AI transformation in smart die matching and SMBP, and machine-learning predictions.
• Conceptualize, prototype and productize AI and big-data solutions that improve manufacturing performance.
• Participate in or lead end-to-end project teams of data scientists, Industry 4.0 analysts, solution architects and data engineers.
• Provide domain insights on available data, identify data gaps and work with data scientists to apply AI techniques.
• Act as the expert on Micron data sources, translate project requirements into data sources, and specify new requirements to data architects and data engineers.
• Work with solution end users to analyse information and define requirements, and mentor on system interfaces and capabilities.
• Develop business proposals, validate impacts, estimate ROI and prioritise projects for implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or another engineering-related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing and memory technologies (e.g. NAND/DRAM).
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional or technical teams with accountability for delivery and outcomes.
• Prior knowledge of data science is helpful but not required.
