Principal Consultant – Confluent Kafka

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead enterprise‑grade event‑driven solutions in Singapore. You will design, implement, and optimise streaming architectures that enable clients to modernise their data pipelines and achieve real‑time insights.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy Confluent Kafka solutions across multi‑cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Design event‑driven systems using Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, KSQL, and Schema Registry.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable streaming workloads.
• Guide customers on Confluent Cloud services, ksqlDB Cloud, and Apache Flink integrations.
• Provide governance through Stream Catalog, Data Lineage, Audit Logs, and RBAC.
• Monitor performance using Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Advise on data mesh, KRaft migration, and modern streaming patterns.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience with Confluent Kafka (any distribution).
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala.
• Solid understanding of event‑driven architecture and data streaming patterns.
• Experience deploying Kafka on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and customer‑facing skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science.
• Fluency in English and local Singapore/Bahasa language.
