Principal Engineer – Systems/Avionics

About the role

The TSP Principal Engineer – Systems/Avionics will join the Flight Hour Services (FHS) team supporting Singapore Airlines and Scoot. Based in Singapore, the engineer is responsible for maintaining the Airbus A320 and A380 fleet to achieve the highest operational reliability and on‑time performance while complying with CAAS, EASA and Airbus technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for line‑maintenance defects on A320/A380 aircraft and drive long‑term systems/avionics improvement projects.
• Oversee parking and storage maintenance, manage task issuances, expiries and technical deviations with the Toulouse Scheduled Maintenance department.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of defects and delays, coordinate technical follow‑up with Airbus headquarters and the customer.
• Maintain close collaboration with Singapore Airlines/Scoot engineering teams, the TSP Operations team and external MRO contractors.
• Represent the organisation at Technical Standards Committee meetings and ensure compliance with airworthiness, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Act as Design Signatory for mechanical systems, approve modification bulletins and engineering notes under CS‑25 and Part 21 regulations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in aircraft systems or avionics engineering, preferably on Airbus platforms.
• Strong knowledge of CAAS, EASA and FAA airworthiness regulations and Airbus technical standards.
• Proven ability to lead root‑cause investigations and manage technical documentation.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, regulators and internal stakeholders.
