Principal / Senior Radiographer, EGH Planning Office

About the role

The upcoming Eastern General Hospital (EGH) is seeking a Principal / Senior Radiographer for its planning office. When operational, EGH will offer a wide range of inpatient and outpatient clinical specialties covering emergency, acute and secondary care. The role offers the chance to help establish radiography services at EGH, performing routine and complex radiographic examinations across several imaging modalities and modifying protocols according to patient needs and clinical conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Independently perform routine and complex radiographic examinations across various imaging modalities
• Modify protocols based on patient needs and clinical conditions
• Champion a safety culture
• Mentor junior staff and students
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Contribute to service development

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Radiography from a recognised institution with at least 5 years' experience and demonstrated competencies, OR a postgraduate degree with at least 4 years' experience and demonstrated competencies
• Full or restricted registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
• NEA R1 license
• Experience in staff supervision and training
