Principal Site Selection Manager – Data Centers

About the role

Oracle is looking for a Singapore‑based Principal Site Selection Manager to lead the origination, structuring, and execution of data centre site opportunities across targeted metros and regions. Reporting to the Director of APAC Site Selection, the role will collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality metro strategies and originate opportunities that meet business requirements.
• Partner with capacity planners and network specialists to define capacity needs and site requirements.
• Lead the end‑to‑end deal cycle from initial demand signal through general availability, ensuring performance against critical business metrics.
• Manage multiple concurrent transactions and coordinate internal teams, consultants, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Lead cross‑functional teams in evaluating, selecting, negotiating, and recommending lease opportunities for approval.
• Lead commercial negotiations with providers, in partnership with Corporate Procurement, to execute contracts.
• Partner with Finance to conduct total cost of ownership analyses of lease‑versus‑build options and recommend the optimal strategy.
• Maintain systems of record to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliable executive reporting.
• Provide analytical reporting and support day‑to‑day team activities as needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in site selection for industrial‑scale projects, including real estate evaluation, acquisition, development, lease agreements, and infrastructure delivery.
• Strong knowledge of the data centre industry, market dynamics, key players, and models such as colocation leases and build‑to‑suit solutions.
• Understanding of land acquisition, real estate development, utility agreements, sustainable development practices, financial modelling, local regulations, and permitting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations and initiatives to successful completion with a results‑oriented approach.
• Effective independent contributor and collaborative team player, able to work autonomously while seeking guidance when needed.
