Process Engineer – Biotechnology Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a Process Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and compliance of biotechnology process equipment in our Singapore manufacturing site. You will act as the equipment subject‑matter expert, supporting daily operations, new product introductions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage assigned process equipment to guarantee safe, compliant, and reliable operation.
• Lead equipment breakdown investigations, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Manage deviations and change controls related to equipment performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve operational issues and support equipment readiness for new product introductions and product changeovers.
• Develop and optimise maintenance strategies, including preventive maintenance and job plans in Maximo.
• Conduct equipment assessments during qualifications, change activities, and site projects as a subject‑matter expert.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives using operational‑excellence and data‑analysis tools.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology or a related field.
• Experience in a biopharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of process equipment, single‑use systems and GMP requirements.
• Experience with deviation management and CAPA processes.
