Process Integration Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a highly skilled Process Integration Engineer to join its Photonics Platform Business Group in Singapore. In this role you will bridge advanced optical device research and high‑volume manufacturing, ensuring new technologies reach the market efficiently and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end process integration for advanced semiconductor and photonics device fabrication.
• Define and optimize process flows to meet performance, yield, and reliability targets.
• Collaborate with module owners (lithography, etch, deposition, metrology, etc.) to align development with integration requirements.
• Conduct design‑of‑experiments (DOE) to identify process sensitivities and improve manufacturability.
• Analyze optical test data, provide feedback for process tuning, and support technology transfer to volume manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot integration issues, lead root‑cause analysis, and contribute to roadmap and scalability strategies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field (PhD preferred).
• At least 5 years of professional experience, with >3 years in process integration within a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of nanotechnology processes such as lithography, etch, deposition, CMP and metrology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

• Reading GDS/OASIS layout files; knowledge of OPC is a plus.
