Procurement Engineer (Expeditor)

About the role

A temporary, full-time Procurement Engineer (Expeditor) position based in Singapore. The role covers procurement operations, ERP and systems management, contract and supplier management, order expediting, schedule monitoring, performance reporting and continuous improvement within an EPC or manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run cost-effective, compliant procurement strategies and manage the full cycle from requisition to purchase order, meeting EPC contract and project specifications.
• Act as key user of the ERP and other procurement platforms, keeping data accurate and timely.
• Maintain procurement contracts, lead supplier qualification and evaluation against ESG standards, prepare commercial bid evaluations and support supplier negotiations.
• Track and expedite material deliveries, organize post-award kick-offs, monitor supplier performance and share expediting reports with project, QA/QC and site teams.
• Resolve over, short and damage (OS&D) issues and coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping coordinators.
• Track procurement KPIs such as P2P cycle times and supplier delivery performance, and report on issues affecting project schedules.
• Support supply chain optimization, lessons learned and supplier development, and comply with QHSE requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• 5-8 years of combined experience in procurement, expediting or supply chain roles in EPC or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management and contract administration.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, and MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Incoterms, logistics coordination and customs processes.
