Product Design Engineer

About the role

Molex is seeking a Product Design Engineer to lead the design of high‑speed interconnect solutions from concept through production. The role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams and direct interaction with customers, ODMs, and contract manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and participate in design and development activities from concept to production using a defined product development process.
• Provide engineering support for product modifications, cost reductions, and manufacturing process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across different time zones on new product development and manufacturing.
• Generate design specifications, proposals, and product designs that meet customer requirements.
• Drive research and development of new or improved high‑speed interconnect designs.
• Consult Sales and Marketing on design and engineering matters.
• Visit customers, ODMs, and contract manufacturers to support product and manufacturing activities when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred).
• Experience with advanced parametric 3D CAD systems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Team‑oriented personality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Siemens NX.
• Experience using Teamcenter.
• Familiarity with Polarion PLM software.
• Advanced 3D CAD modeling capabilities.
