Product Designer – Ministry of Foreign Affairs

About the role

GovTech is seeking a talented Product Designer to support the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in creating user‑centred digital services. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to translate complex user needs into intuitive, high‑quality designs that align with Singapore’s Smart Nation vision.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct user research—including interviews, surveys, and usability testing—to uncover behaviours, needs, and pain points.
• Transform research insights into wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high‑fidelity mockups.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Iterate designs based on feedback, testing results, and data analysis.
• Champion design‑thinking principles and contribute to the maintenance of design systems and guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Product, UI/UX, or similar designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design processes.
• Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, agile environments; public‑sector experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD.
• Solid understanding of user‑centred design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.
• Experience conducting user research and translating findings into actionable design solutions.
